According to Biciciclismo, Eros Capecchi will join Astana Pro Team the next season. Indeed, the Italian rider could move to the Kazakh team after three years with Movistar. He would be a great teammate for leader Vincenzo Nibali on three-week races.
Capecchi turned professional with Liquigas in 2005 before moving to Saunier Duval-Scott in 2008. He returned to Liquigas-Cannondale for the 2011 season. He won a stage win at the 2011 Giro d'Italia. He finished first at the Gran Premio di Lugano in 2012. He left Liquigas-Cannondale at the end of the 2012 season, and joined the Movistar Team on a two-year contract, from the 2013 season onwards.
