The traditional end-of-season Amstel Curacao Race which is held on the tropical island of Curacao and which has traditionally fielded several international stars, will mainly be a Dutch-Belgian affair in 2014. National champions Sebastian Langeveld and Jens Debusschere lead a list of five main names for the one-day race.
The national champions Sebastian Langeveld (Netherlands) and Jens Debusschere (Belgium) will start in their distinctive jerseys on Saturday, November 8, at the Amstel Curaçao Race. Race Director Leo van Vliet is ready to announce the first major names for his one-day race.
In addition to Langeveld and Debusschere Van Vliet has signed a contract with Paris-Roubaix winner Niki Terpstra, Worlds TT bronze medallist Tom Dumoulin and Eneco Tour champion Tim Wellens.
"This year it will mainly be a Dutch-Belgian affair," Van Vliet says. "We have signed contracts with top riders from both countries."
