Having recently finished third at the TT World Championships, Tom Dumoulin has set his sights on the yellow jersey in the Tour de France. With the Grande Boucle starting in his home country, he wants to conquer the coveted tunic in the opening time trial.
Tom Dumoulin has set his sights on the Tour de France. He sees the Tour as his most important race next year.
"The Tour starts with a time trial that should suit me well. This is really the main goal of the season," Dumoulin told L1 yesterday on the fan day organized by Team Giant-Shimano in the stadium of Fortuna Sittard.
It was the first time that the fan day was organized. Hundreds of fans came to take a photo of or get an autograph from riders like Dumoulin, Marcel Kittel and Roy Curvers. The latter is also looking forward to the start in Utrecht.
"I have been there for the last three years. I will do everything to be there again next year."
