As usual, the GP Denain finished in a bunch sprint and it was again Nacer Bouhanni who took the win. Samuel Dumoulin did well by taking fifth in the kind of big sprint that doesn't suit him.
"We lost Quentin (Jauregui) due to an early crash," he said. "Axel (Domont) and Blel (Kadri) are in recovery mode so it was not easy. With fifteen kilometers to could I got to the front with the help of Maxime (Daniel) and Johan (Vansummeren). With 5km to go, it started to get difficult but Bagdo [Gediminas Bagdonas] helped me until I was 1200 meters from the line. I am satisfied to finish in 5th position in a sprint like that."
Before the Tour du Finistère (Saturday) and the Tro Bro Leon (Sunday), Samuel Dumoulin is in 4th place in the Coupe de France while his Ag2r teammate Alexis Gougeard is 7th.
