Tom Dumoulin has reacted to Bradley Wiggins' Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). The Giant-Alpecin rider has explained that it was 'strange' that the British rider received these injections immediately before the start of a three-week race.
"And injecting?" said the Dutch rider. "So then you have very bad asthma. It’s not something they do with normal asthmatics, let alone athletes who only have exercise-induced asthma. Apparently Wiggins’ injection worked for weeks — so in my opinion you should be out of competition for weeks. It stinks."
In an interview with BBC1's journalist Andrew Marr Show, the former Tour de France winner has denied trying to gain an "unfair advantage".
