Colombia will be led by Leonardo Duque and Fabio Duarte in the Tour du Poitou-Charentes. On a course that suits time triallists, however, it will be hard to be in contention for the overall win.
Team Colombia’s season follows in France: after Tour de l’Ain, Tour du Limousin and Chaterroux Classic, the Escarabajos are now about to tackle the Tour du Poitou-Charentes, five stages in four days of racing, from August 26th to 29th.
The race will provide opportunities for sprinters as well as lumpy stages suited to punchy riders, but the fourth stage – a 24 km individual time trial – is likely to sort out the contenders with one day to go.
For the 28th edition of the race, Sports Director Valerio Tebaldi will count on the same line-up fielded at the Chaterroux Classic: Juan Esteban Arango, Edwin Avila, Edward Diaz, Fabio Duarte, Leonardo Duque, Jonathan Paredes, Duber Quintero and Juan Pablo Valencia.
