Australian Pro-Continental team Drapac Professional Cycling wants to be in the WorldTour in the near future. Team owner Michael Drapax is looking for another sponsor to be able to make the step to the highest level.
Drapac explained his ambitions to the Australian Financial Review.
“I found out the last year that owning a sport team is good for the profile of your company. People know our company, because of our cycling team. There is a great return of investment for owners of cycling teams.”
Because his team took part in many American races, Drapac saw his market share in the United States increase. With a team in the WorldTour, the team owner expects to increase his name value in other countries, like Spain and Italy.
