The highly touted American, Joe Dombrowski, is now looking forward to shine in 2014 season, as he tells Cafe Roubaix. The Sky rider's knee problem is gone, and he hopes he could finally to reach his potential.
22-year-old Dombrowski's rookie season in Sky was marked by numerous knee problems, as well as disappointing results. The American explains on the reason that cause his knee isues, "I think there are a few factors. Firstly, with the Team Sky began to organize my workout, one of the first things they did was trying to dramatically increase my muscle mass. This, combined with the change of training material, has contributed to aggravate the situation of my knee during the year." And different whether is another probable reason, "The cold and humidity we experienced in Europe this spring did not help, either."
A product of the Livestrong system, Dombrowski gained multiple eye-blowing results in 2012, including winning the GiroBio, and top-10 result in both Tour of Utah and USA Pro Cycling Challange. But the aformentioned knee problems prevented him to fly higher this year, although he did shine a bit in Tour de Suisse as he launched an high-power attack in the La Punt stage.
