According to the Belgian newspaper Derniere Heure, Dries Devenyns will leave Giant-Shimano after riding in the Dutch outfit for one season. Instead, the 31-year old classics specialist will strengthen the IAM cycling roster for their next spring campaign after he has reportedly reached an agreement with the Swill Pro Continental team.
Devenyns has experienced a highly unfortunate 2014 season, in which 8th place taken at the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad has to be considered as the biggest highlight. The 31-year old Belgian certainly will hope to bounce back with better results next year and he is expected to do so in the IAM Cycling outfit.
According to Derniere Heure negotiations between both parties have been successfully concluded and it’s only a matter of days before the Swiss Pro Continental team will officially announce signing Devenyns for 2015.
