After one year with Astana Pro Team, Gatis Smukulis has announced he will ride for a French team in 2017. The Latvian rider will wear the Delko Marseille Provence KTM jersey.

 

This year the 29-year-old rider won the road race and the individual time trial at the national championships. His only internatiomal win is a stage at the Volta a Catalunya in 2011.

 

He is the fourth signing after John Anderson Rodriguez (EPM Une), Mauro Finetto (Unieuro Wilier) and Angel Madrazo (Caja Rural).
