Kjell Carlström, former sports director at IAM Cycling and now chief sports director of Israel Cycling Academy which has recently promoted to the Continental Professional ranks, has given a long interview to the Marca newspaper about what he hopes will be the basis of the 2017 calendar of his team. However, he still has to wait for the invitations.
"I have no doubts that we will have a beautiful calendar. For the moment, we are still waiting for confirmation of the invitations but we hope to be in races like Milan-San Remo, Strade Bianche, Amstel Gold Race, Tour of Croatia, Tour of California andTour of Britain," Carlström says in the columns of Marca.
Ultimately, the objective of Israel Cycling Academy is to be the first Israeli team to participate in the Giro and the Tour of France and to improv the young Israeli riders.
