Tomorrow CULT Energy Pro Cycling will take on the French stage race Tour du Poitou Charentes covering 5 stages in 4 days. The stage race has been dominated by French riders over the years and the winner of the 2014 edition of the race Sylvain Chavanel has been on top of the overall podium three times while Thomas Voeckler and Jens Voigt both have two overall victories here.
The CULT Energy line-up: Michael Carbel, Linus Gerdemann, Karel Hnik, Alex Kirsch, Michael Reihs, Rasmus Quaade and Martin Mortensen.
DS Luke Roberts states:
“At the Tour du Poitou-Charantes, we have a short stage race with 5 stages in 4 days including a 23 km individual time trial. The race should certainly offer something to the sprinters and the general classification should be decided amongst the time trial specialists. In our line-up are the two young Danes; Michael Carbel and Rasmus Quaade who are both eyeing a spot for the World Championships and they’ll be looking to put a stamp on their selection with a good performance here.”
