On Wednesday 4th of March, CULT Energy Pro Cycling are hosting the annual team presentation in Århus, Denmark. All riders will be introduced to the sponsors, press and network Danish TV2 journalist and Tour de France commentator Dennis Ritter will be hosting the event.
The presentation takes place only a week and a half after thieves looted the team truck of bikes and equipment, which brought CULT on front pages around the world of cycling. The following day, the Danish squad was granted a wildcard for the Dutch classic Amstel Gold Race. The eventful week was concluded yesterday with two riders in the top-5 in GP Cittá di Lugano.
DS Michael Skelde comments on the season so far:
“I think we’ve demonstrated good form on the road already. Linus [Gerdemann] was 100 meters away from our first win this season in the Italian one-day race Trofeo Laigueglia and we’ve been riding aggressively in most races so far. Latest result only yesterday with Rasmus Guldhammer finishing 4th and Linus 5th in Lugano. Surely, last week’s theft of equipment was a huge setback for us and not every race has been perfect but I’m confident that we have the riders to perform on the road this year and some of them in the years to come. I’m looking forward to presenting all of them this Wednesday."
Next race for CULT Energy Pro Cycling is the Belgian stage race 3 Daagse West-Vlaanderen starting Friday 6th of March.
