This weekend CULT Energy Pro Cycling are taking on the Dutch twin races Albert Achterhes Ronde van Drenthe on Saturday and Energiewacht Dwars door Drenthe on Sunday. Usually, the Dutch and flat terrain favors the big and fast engines in the peloton but a breakaway sprint decision is definitely a possibility.
DS André Steensen comments:
"We are coming to Drenthe aware of the difficulties attached to the races in terms of cobbles and the endless battle for position before entering each section. If we can make it into the crucial breakaway, we have several riders with a strong finish and Michael Carbel for a potential bunch sprint. First of foremost, I want to make sure we keep riding like a unit, which is absolutely a necessity in order to make it to the finale."
CULT Energy Pro Cycling's line-up:
Russell Downing, Michael Carbel, Troels Vinther, Alex Kirsch, Michael Reihs, Martin Mortensen, Mads Pedersen and Joel Zangerle.
