This weekend will be a busy one for CULT Energy Pro Cycling with four races on the program. A group consisting of Russell Downing, Mads Pedersen, Rasmus Quaade, Michael Reihs, Martin Mortensen, Alex Kirsch, Karel Hnik and Troels Vinther will take on Belgium one-day race Handzame Classic on Friday and Ronde van Zeeland in Holland on Saturday.
Another CULT Energy Pro Cycling delegation including Rasmus Guldhammer, Linus Gerdemann, Fabian Wegmann, Christian Mager, Joel Zangerle, Michael Carbel, Gustav Larsson and Romain Lemarchand will participate in two French one-day races, Classic Loire Atlantique on Saturday and Cholet – Pays de Loire on Sunday.
CULT Energy Pro Cycling DS Michael Skelde will be calling the shots from the team car in the two French races.
“We are one month away from our biggest objectives this spring – Amstel Gold Race and Liege-Bastogne-Liege - so a few hard races with a lot activities is basically just what we need. Some riders have had a break from racing for a couple of weeks so they have to get back into the rhythm but I hope we’ll be able to play a significant role in both races. Traditionally, they are both hard and they match our way of racing well”, says DS Michael Skelde.
