Cult Energy will undergo an important week. The only Danish professional team don’t have the money to continue after September 13. Before the deadline, this team will compete at the Post Danmark Tour (August 4-8) and the Tour of Britain (September 8-13). Riders are hoping to do well during this race in its homeland race will attract a Danish sponsor.
"After September 13, we have decided to stop our race program, because we now have a limited amount of money, so we cannot ride the last month of the season”, team manager Michael Skelde explained a few days ago.
"I would like to create a team where Danish talents feel comfortable, and where you can be sure that the Danish talent continues to win races. It is different with the Tour of Denmark. It's the race that matters most to us - the ones where we have a realistic chance of winning.”
Skelde told ekstrabladet.dk his team may aim the top of the general classification. "And on the podium, you may as well be number one as number three. I think we can go for the win."
