Last year Antoine Demoitie proved that he has the potential to turn professional when he won the Coupe de France race, GP Finistere. Today he again confirmed his potential when he finished third in the GP La Marseillaise.
"I am very happy with this podium," he told Directvelo. "This confirms the good feelings that I have had in training in recent weeks. Because it was first race of the year, you always wonder what our level is against other riders in the peloton. Today I was able to manage the race. The climbs were hard but I managed to survive them. In the end, I was well protected by my teammates. I am a little disappointed because I did not miss much in the sprint but to start the season like this is still a very good thing. I hope this is only the beginning of a long series."
