Alberto Contador (Tinkoff) does not know if he will do the Vuelta a Espana in 2016. The main objectives for the coming year will be the Tour de France and the Olympics where he'll find a course that suits him very well.
"I'm fine, I have already started training and I'm really motivated. I'm thinking about next year and especially the Tour de France. So far, so good. Things are going smoothly and I hope to build a good base," he told Eurosport. "In principle I have only thought about the Tour and the Olympics. I do not know whether I will do the Vuelta. I focus on the Tour and Rio because it is a course that can be good for me. In the calendar it comes right after the Tour and if I can have a good recovery, I can have a good race," he said. "Everyone likes to represent his country.”
Contador also took stock of 2015. "When you win a grand tour like the Giro, you can’t say it's a bad season, but I'm very picky and I started this year to win the Giro and Tour and I missed out in one of them. It was a good season, but not great,” he concluded.
