Today the second stage of the Presidential Tour of Turkey saw NIPPO-Vini Fantini Team put two riders in the top 10 in the bunch sprint, with a 5th place for Daniele Colli and 9th for Eduard Grosu.
Mark Cavendish won the bunch sprint but Nippo-Vini Fantini were close with two of their three sprinters. The stage was characterized by a 5-rider break before it was decided in the expected bunch sprint.
“I feel that I am in a good condition," Colli said. "In a sprint it is always a matter of seconds that decides whether you will win or not. To lose against Cavendish and Modolo is ok, its a pity to not be on the podium, but it is anyway a good signal for the next stages.”
