Sonny Colbrelli showed his big potential and talent today by taking a late-season win in Coppa Sabatini in Italy. This was the fifth victory of the young Italian this season and great team work marked off by a victory is the recipe for success.
And it was a truly happy Colbrelli after the finish line. He went in the sprint with Mauro Finetto and Finetto couldn’t keep a high pace, so the way to the win was cleared for the Bardiani rider.
"Thanks to all my team-mates with who we had a perfect race. We were able to do everything that we said this morning in a meeting and I was touched when they finalized their great work. I knew that Finetto was one of the athletes there was to be feared most, that's why I followed him from under la flame rouge and when he left in the final with 300 meters to,” Colbrelli told the Bardiani website.
