Belgian one-day events are usually associated with the spring, but also in the autumn there are some opportunities for the riders who specialize in those races. CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take part in one of them – Primus Classic Impanis – Van Petegem.

The 195-kilometer course from Brakel do Haagt in Flemish Brabant is typical for a Belgian race – an up-and-down profile and narrow and twisty roads. Riders from the Benelux countries will make sure that the pace is fast and will try to break the field apart. Sprint teams will try to do the opposite and bring the race to a bunch sprint.

This year’s edition is the fifth since the event received UCI EuropeTour status. In the previous four races, it came down to a bunch sprint once and three times a small group arrived at the finish.

CCC Sprandi Polkowice’s line-up is fast. The team’s leader is sprinter, Grzegorz Stępniak. He proved in Velothon Stockholm where he took third place that he is in good shape. He will be supported by strong riders in flat and slightly hilly terrain,  Mateusz Taciak, Adrian Kurek, Jarosław Marycz, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Tomasz Kiendyś and two riders from the U23 category, Patryk Stosz and Eryk Latoń.

Primus Classic Impanis – Van Petegem is a 1.HC and 7 UCI World Tour teams are expected at the start line.

CCC Sprandi are active in even more races. Having finished Coppa Bernocchi today, CCC Sprandi Polkowice continues its Italian campaign by taking part in two one-day races – Memorial Marco Pantani and GP Industria & Commercio di Prato.

The race which commemorates one of the best climbers in cycling history, will be held near his home town, Cesena. The finish will be located in Cesenatico by the Adriatic Sea in the Emilia-Romania region and the start in Riccione. The riders will be climbing the Montevecchio (max. 15%) thrice. The final 40 kilometers are flat, so a bunch sprint finish is the most possible scenario. This is how the race ended in the previous years.

In 2011, on a slightly harder route, Davide Rebellin took 2nd. Last year Grega Bole was also 2nd and Maciej Paterski finished 8th. From that trio, Rebellin and Bole will participate in this year’s edition. The ormer will be trying to break away on the climb and the latter will be looking for his chances in a brunch sprint.

The Italian has two victories in GP Industria & Commercio di Prato (which will be held on Sunday) under his belt (2001, 2003). Due to the hilly course he has an opportunity to deliver good results also in 2015. The course is divided in two parts – the first consists of six laps with the climb in Carmignano, and the second also consists of six laps with the short but steep hill to Montemurlo – Via della Rocca. From the summit to the finish there only 16 kilometers so the bunch will have to push the pace in the finale to catch the attackers.

Line-up for Primus Classic Impanis – Van Petegem (20.09, 1.HC):

Grzegorz Stępniak, Mateusz Taciak, Adrian Kurek, Jarosław Marycz, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Tomasz Kiendyś, Patryk Stosz, Eryk Latoń.

Line-up for Memorial Marco Pantani (19.09, 1.1) and GP Industria & Commercio di Prato (20.09, 1.1):

Davide Rebellin, Stefan Schumacher, Łukasz Owsian, Adrian Honkisz, Leszek Pluciński, Grega Bole, Nikolay Mihaylov, Jan Hirt
