A six-rider orange team will take part in the upcoming one-day event in Berlin, Garmin Velothon (31.05, cat.1.1).

The profile of the race is flat and there is 174 kilometers to cover. It’s hard to imagine a different scenario in the end than a bunch sprint. Four editions has been held so far and every time the race finished that way.

This is the reason why CCC Sprandi Polkowice has sent a very fast roster with Grzegorz Stępniak as the leader. He will be surrounded by Michał Paluta, Adrian Kurek, Tomasz Kiendyś, Mateusz Taciak and Eryk Latoń. They will be trying to get in the break and help Stępniak in case of mass sprint.

Everyone, but Adrian Kurek, has raced in Bałtyk-Karkonosze Tour where Stępniak took one stage win and was second once.

For the riders in orange, it will be the fourth time they participate in the Berlin event. Last year Jarosław Marycz claimed 10th place. This season the field will consists of two UCI World Tour teams (Giant-Alpecin, Cannondale-Garmin), five ProContinental (aside from CCC Sprandi Polkowice also Bora-Argon 18, MTN-Qhubeka, Topsport Vlaanderen – Baloise and Cult Energy Pro Cycling), 12 Continental and a National Team of Great Britain.

Lineup for Garmin Velothon (31.05, kat.1.1):

Grzegorz Stępniak, Michał Paluta, Adrian Kurek, Mateusz Taciak, Eryk Latoń, Tomasz Kiendyś
