Mark Cavendish won his first race of 2014 by beating Peter Kennaugh of Sky and Mark Christian of Raleigh in a local race on the Isle of Man.
The three men escaped early on in the race and were never likely to be pegged back by the peloton after they began to hit speeds of 40mph on the course.
Kennaugh pushed Cavendish hard in the sprint but in the end he was unable to beat the Manx Missile and Cav took home an expected win.
Cavendish will head to the first Omega Pharma-QuickStep training camp of the year next week before beginning his season officially at the Tour de San Luis in Argentina.
