Carlos Quintero, who won the mountains classification at the Tirreno-Adriatico, will lead Team Colombia at Coppi e Bartali. The Continental Pro team explained in a press released that the riders will again try to be among the protagonists in the Italian 4-day stage race.

The 30th anniversary of Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali (March 26-29) will find Team Colombia-Coldeportes at the start, with an in-form Carlos Julian Quintero, who comes here just days after winning the mountains classification at Tirreno-Adriatico. Quintero has nice memories from the Italian race, after finishing 13th in the GC two years ago, when he made his debut in the event that takes place in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Another rider who knows the roads and nabbed a strong result here in the past is Miguel Angel Rubiano, the former national champion, 3rd in the same 2013 edition, after an impressive display in the undulating stage to Sogliano al Rubicone. The eight-man team – led from the car by Sports Directors Valerio Tebaldi and Oliverio Rincon – will be rounded-out by Edwin Avila, Fabio Duarte, Sebastian Molano, Brayan Ramirez, Carlos Mario Ramirez and Juan Pablo Valencia.

Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali will start in Gatteo, with two half-stages, a road one and a 13,3 km team time trial. The second day will give a great opportunity to the attackers and GC favorites, as the peloton is going to race five times over La Villa Monte Tiffi, a climb with an 18% maximum gradient. The penultimate stage, to Crevalcore, is dedicated to sprinters, while the last one is expected to have an important impact on the general classification, as it will take the riders over three categorized climbs, before an uphill finish to Roccapelago.
