Tinkoff-Saxo goes into the Vattenfall Cyclassics with an in-form Matti Breschel as their leader. With no top sprinter on the roster, the team plans to race aggressively in the German race.
Tomorrow Tinkoff-Saxo takes on the German late Summer classic, Vattenfall Cyclassics with a line-up consisting of Nicolas Roche, Matti Breschel, Manuele Boaro, Nicki Sørensen, Chris Juul-Jensen, Evgeny Petrov, Jay McCarthy and Nikolay Trusov
.
The long and undulating course is often decided in a bunch sprint like last year when John Degenkolb (Giant-Shimano) prevailed.
“We enter the race with a motivated list of riders and we’re here to support Matti who will be our race leader. But the race is open in terms of chasing the obvious opportunities the race holds for us and I hope that we’ll be on the forefront from the get-go in this race and Matti will be our supported captain," says DS Fabrizio Guidi.
