Nacer Bouhanni was the big favourite in the Route Adelie Vitré but with a second place behind Romain Feillu he again missed out on his first win for Cofidis.
"Of course, it is disappointing to finish second today," he told Directvelo. "The problem is that there were still three riders ahead 400 meters from the finish line. They were still 70-80 meters ahead of us. So I had to start with 400m to go. I had no choice. If I had not donethat , the escapees would surely have made it to the finish. It was all or nothing and unfortunately I lost. I can not be satisfied with second place. Again, this is a real disappointment."
