The International Cycling Union UCI granted BORA – ARGON 18 the license as ProContinental team for the upcoming season. The German team was again among the first teams to receive the license. The UCI audits all applications each year according to the criteria Ethics, Finance and Administration. Receiving the license for 2016, the team of manager Ralph Denk will be competing continuously for six years (2010 Continental, since 2011 ProContinental) in the second division of international cycling. BORA – ARGON 18 is the only German team in that league.
"Even if we had no doubts at all about receiving the license, it's nice to be among the first teams again. Our intensive preparation for the licensing procedure paid off. In the current critical phase of the pre-season, we prefer to invest our work in the riders, race planning, training camps and equipment optimization. With the license granted now, we can continue our way", Ralph Denk, Team Manager of BORA – ARGON 18, comments on receiving the license.
