Lars Boom was fifth in his second cyclo-cross race of the season. Spaniard Ismael Esteban took the win in Elorria.
Boom again had a good start, but later fell back to fifth. That's better than in his first cyclocross race in Asteasu where he ended ninth. Afterwards, Boom complained especially of problems with the corners and a lack of technique. "I still have something to improve," he told Wielerflits.
Boom will be back in action tomorrow in Igorre and a week later in Valencia. On December 26 he will be in Zolder for the first big race. Later the Nationals and World Championships are on the schedule.
