The fifth day of the Eneco Tour was characterized by a stage hardened by several climbs and a strong rain in the final 30 kilometers.
The two men of the daily breakaway kept a few seconds of advantage to gain the first two places: victory for Johan Le Bon (FDJ); second place for Dylan Van Baarle (Cannondale-Garmin).
Philippe Gilbert finished in ninth place after a race of attack with the whole BMC Racing Team.
The new leader is Wilco Kelderman (Team LottoNL-Jumbo). Greg Van Avermaet is seventh at 26 seconds, Manuel Quinziato eighth and Philippe Gilbert ninth with the same gap of 29 seconds.
"Hard finish because of the rain today @EnecoTour . 2 more hard days coming," Danilo Wyss tweeted after the stage
