Amaël Moinard looks forward to Tour Méditerranéen.
The Tour Méditerranéen that begins Wednesday in Limoux, France, shapes up to be different than past editions, said BMC Racing Team's Amaël Moinard, who will be competing in the race for the sixth time.
Something For Everyone
Moinard said the addition of a 24 kilometer individual time trial that finishes on Mont Saint Claire isn't the only change.
"The first stage could be windy to Gruissan and then it will be tricky and hilly for the next few days until the (Stage 4) finish on the Mont Faron, which I think will decide the final winner," Moinard said.
BMC Racing Team Assistant Director Yvon Ledanois said with a roster that includes sprinters, climbers, a time trialist and breakaway specialists, there are a number of opportunities to make some results.
"Because this race includes some of the same roads, it will also help prepare the riders who will be doing Tour du Haut Var and then focusing on Paris-Nice," he said.
