In the absence of Michal Kwiatkowski and Maciej Bodnar, Marcin Bialoblocki (One Pro Cycling) became the new Polish time trial champion. He beat Kamil Gradek (ActiveJet) by 19 seconds while Bartosz Huzarski (Bora-Argon 18) was 43 seconds adrift in third.
Marcin Bialoblocki has spent most of his career in the Great Britain where he has been riding for different continental teams. Today he took his first Polish time trial title when he won the 44km race in Strzelin.
In the last few years, the race has been dominated by Michal Kwiatkowski and Maciej Bodnar but both riders were absent in today's race, with Bodnar recovering from a broekn collarbone and Kwiatkowski preparing for the Tour de France. This opened the door for Bialoblocki to take the biggest win of his career.
His biggest rival turned out to be Kamil Gradek while Bartosz Huzarski got a solid confidence boost for the Tour de France by finishing third.
Rafal Majka tested himself in a long tiemtrial and finished 4th, 52 seconds behind the new champion
