Last week Europcar announced that they will end their sponsorship of the eponymous team at the end of the 2015 season. However, team manager Jean-Rene Bernaudeau remains confident that he will be able to find a replacement.
On Friday Europcar announced that it will end its cooperation with the professional team at the end of the 2015 season. Manager Jean-Rene Bernaudeau has a yeay to find a new sponsor.
"That's life for the teams and especially for my team," he tells Le Figaro. "The news from Europcar are not too bad. We had agreed to reach a quick decision that would give us the opportunity to work calmly. This will allow us to start our search with serenity. I am hopeful and I am happy to have time to give us visibility."
With 12 wins in 2014, Europcar can build on a solid foundation and Vendée U training center.
"The team is popular and our brand is strong. Thomas [Voeckler] is vengeful, Pierre [Rolland], Romain [Sicard] and Bryan [Coquard] will be there. I will fight for this group. I am confident. The time frame is good as the 2016 budgets are not closed yet."
