Team NetApp-Endura are targeting a top 10 result in their biggest home race, Sunday's Vattenfall Cyclassics. The team will try to ride aggressively and have Sam Bennett as the leader in case of a sprint finish.
Next Sunday Team NetApp Endura will tackle the Hamburg Cyclassics with a good mixture of classic riders and sprint specialists. The only German World Tour race covers 247.2 km and is the great high point of the summer for the top class German cycling team. Last year Michael Schwarzmann put in a really convincing performance by winning the mountain classification and staying in the lead for almost 190 km. This year Team NetApp Endura is aiming for a place among the Top 10.
“Of course our aim is to put in a really good showing and ride offensively in the most important German race. That’s why we’re fielding a fielding a first class team in Hamburg that can cope well with any racing situation. We’re highly motivated and all the riders fielded have proven their good form in recent weeks. We’ve got some really strong riders for the finale. If there’s a sprint, Sam is obviously our no. 1. And if groups break away in the finale, riders like Daniel and Paul are very important. That’s why we’re very optimistic and are shooting for a Top 10 result,” explained a confident Andre Schulze, Sport Director of Team NetApp Endura.
