The silvered jerseys of Southeast obtained another important result today in Turkey in the second stage of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey where Manuel Belletti took eighth in Antalya after a crazy final sprint.
"My teammates helped me well," says Manuel Belletti. "But it's been very hard in the final... Petacchi helped me to take position but in the last bends I stayed in the middle. I began to sprint at 150 meters, a little too late... Anyway, after a month without races, I think to be ready for the Giro, sure to be ready to fight."
"Today we chose to race for Belletti," says the sports director Giuseppe Di Fresco. "The eighth place is a good result. Our opponents are strong but we are always presents, ready to go down fighting. From the fourth stage until the last, we will be able to try again!"
