Belkin is again headinh into one of their home races as the team to beat and they feel almost obliged to win Sunday's Ronde van Limburg. One week ago Theo Bos delivered the goods in the Ronde van Zeeland and this time they hope to see Paul Martens come to the fore.

The Belkin Pro Cycling TEAM aims for nothing less than a victory in Sunday’s Tour of Limburg. In Belgium, the pressure will be on Sports Director Michiel Elijzen’s riders, but he doesn’t mind. 

“We are one of the few top teams at the start,” said Elijzen. “We can score here. We will have to carry the race and we’re almost obliged to win this race. That was the case as well last Saturday in Zeeland, and Theo Bos delivered then. I think a little bit of pressure is good.” 

Bos is not the favourite this time around. Elijzen thinks Paul Martens is more of a contender. 

“Paul is our man. In the Baloise Belgium Tour he proved to be in good shape with his stage win. Jos van Emden is strong, as well. The hilly course suits them. For Theo it’s going to be tough when the race gets hard.” 

Dennis van Winden will do his utmost to support his teammates. The Dutchman replaces Barry Markus, who is forced to watch from the side-line due to a wrist injury. 

“In the past few weeks we managed to win a couple of times, and if it’s up to me, we’re going to do the same thing again on Sunday. We have a strong group of riders. Personally, I hope to go as hard as possible as long as possible and then I’ll see what I can do for the team.”
