Even before an official announcement is made, Barry Markus's 2017 team is apparently known thanks to a tweet ... from his old team: Roompot - Oranje Peloton. In 2017, Barry Markus will ride for Vastgoedservice.
A dormer member of WorldTour teams such as Vacansoleil and LottoNL, Barry Markus was third in the Scheldeprijs behind Mark Cavnendish and winner Marcel Kittel. The 25-year-old Dutchman was often injured and joined Roompot in 2016 to get a new start but it started badly with a triple fracture of the clavicle sustained during the second stage of the Tour of Qatar.
The sprinter has not had any major results this year.
