Bardiani-CSF have announced today that their 24 year old Italian rider Enrico Barbin has been hit by a car while out training near his home.
He was reported to have fallen on his face and he has been hospitalised, where he will be watched over by doctors for two days. Bardiani will provide updates on his situation.
He has not raced since the Italian championships and rode his debut Grand Tour at this year’s Giro d’Italia. His countryman Domenico Pozzovivo broke his tibia just a few days before Brabin’s accident while he was descending the Stelvio Pass.
