Tomorrow the Ardennes classics will start when the 50th edition of the Amstel Gold Race is held in the netherlands. Ag22-Mondial will be at the start with a team that includes Carlos Betancur, Jan Bakelants, Rinaldo Nocentini and Alexis Vuillermoz.
"The Amstel Gold Race marks the transition from the Flemish to the Ardennes classics," sports director Julien Jurdie said. "Even though this race has not always been successful for us, we will build a team around Jan Bakelants. Rinaldo Nocentini is very familiar with this event (he was 9th in 2012, ed.), and his assistance can be very valuable. In the last stage of the Tour of the Basque Country, we could see that Alexis Vuillermoz is in shape. He will be a little short on such a distance but he can have the role of a free electron.
AG2R-La Mondiale for the Amstel Gold Race:
Jan BAKELANTS, Carlos BETANCUR, Mikaël CHEREL, Ben GASTAUER, Mattéo MONTAGUTI, Rinaldo NOCENTINI, Christophe RIBLON et Alexis VUILLERMOZ
