ASO have announced the route for the 2016 Paris-Roubaix, featuring a sector of pave that is all uphill. The race will be held on April 10 and features 25 pave sectors on a day that will be 257.5km long.
ASO is allowing the race to return to Hameau de Buat after a three-year absence to tackle a pave sector that is all uphill. While this may be a slightly difficult, it is not going to be as hard as the three regular five-star difficulty sectors of Arenberg, Mons-en-Pévèle sector and the Carrefour de l’Arbre, which are all included once more.
ASO also revealed that the town of Hem, which isn’t far from Roubaix and the finish in the velodrome, is working on turning a 3km long bike path into a pave sector, which would really shake the race up as it would allow one last sector to attack in.
