"Quiet day close to the captain."
Those were the words of Astana'sAndrey Zeits after stage ten of the Giro d'Italia. Zeits and his teammates were constantly in the top positions of the bunch in a mostly flat stage characterized by a long breakaway.
Fabio Aru, Mikel Landa and Dario Cataldo arrived with the first group 18s behind stage winner Nicola Boem of Italy. Fabio Aru is still second in General Classification 3s from leader Alberto Contador of Spain.
Landa, after a two-minute penalty given to Richie Porte, is now third and Cataldo is in fourth position in the overall classification.
"My teammates kep me in a good great position," Aru said. "I can rely on them, they are excellent. These stages may seem easy, but they can create problems and are very fast. For example, we never did less than 55kph in the finale."
