Julian Arredondo was one of the revelations of the his debut season in the WorldTour. The Colombian won a stage and won the mountains jersey in the Giro d'Italia and now he hopes to achieve the same double in the 2015 Tour de France.

In 2014, Julian Arredondo even surprised his own Trek Factory Racing Team which was quick to extend his contract until the end of the 2016 season. Now he wants to continue hs success. "Last year I finished in the top 10 in lots of races and this leads me to go into 2015 with bigger expectations," he said an interview with Teleantioquia.

His main goal will be the Tour de France. "We have a good team and I think we will be progonists. I would like to win a stage and fight for the mountains jersey," he said. "It's a hard race, hard, hard. The problem is the stage with the cobbles but I go there with other goals, not the GC." He will make his season debut at the Tour of Oman.

In 2014, Arredondo won two stages at the Tour de San Luis,  was third in the GP Camaiore and showed his level in the Tirreno-Adriatico where he finished fifth overall. Despite arriving late in Europe, he excelled in the Ardennes, finsihing 11th in Fleche Wallonne and 25th in Liege-Bastogne-Liege after an aggressive performance. His goal was to win a stage in the Giro and he did so in stage 18 to Refugio Panarotta. He also won the blue mountains jersey. He abandoned the Vuelta a Espana but finished the season on a high with a 7th place in the Tour of Beijing.
