Team Argos-Shimano’s main sponsor, Argos Energies, has joined the Movement for a Credible Cycling (MPCC).
The MPCC is an initiative created by professional cycling teams in the fight against doping, with the main goal to raise the ethical standards of the sport.
With this step, Argos Energies joins a select group of cycling sponsors that support the association, including La Française des Jeux, Lotto, Garmin, Europcar, Cofidis and NetApp.
Team Argos-Shimano manager Iwan Spekenbrink said, “It is very important at this stage to work hand in hand with sponsors, teams and riders toward a common goal. At the first meeting we had with Argos, we explained how we wanted to work on a clean sport and that it is not only about winning. We found them to be extremely supportive of our approach, which they have confirmed again by joining the association that helps us further our goals.”
