With the Giro d’Italia finished, things settle down a bit for WorldTour teams before the build-up to this summer’s Tour de France. The next stepping stone will be the the Critérium du Dauphiné starting this Sunday.
Team Argos-Shimano debuted in the Dauphiné. This year the team will be looking for stage wins through a team of strong attacking riders, four of whom will be looking for a victory on home soil.
“It will be a very difficult race as this is preparation for the Tour and the strongest riders will be there,” said sports director Christian Guiberteau. “Warren Barguil will be given the opportunity to race for a good result, it should be a good test for him. As usual we will aim to be on the offensive and get in the breaks.”
Argos-Shimano line-up for the Critérium du Dauphiné: Nikias Arndt (GER), Warren Barguil (FRA), Will Clarke (AUS), Yann Huguet (FRA), Thierry Hupont (FRA), Reinardt Janse van Rensburg (RSA), François Parisien (CAN), Thomas Damuseau (FRA).
