Alexandre Geniez had a fantastic 2015 season. The FDJ climber won three races: a stage and the overall at the Tour de l'Ain and surprisingly the Tro Bro Léon classic which is known as Breton Paris-Roubaix.
Geniez also excelled in the grand tours. He was ninth in the Giro d'Italia and then supported Thibaut Pinot in the Tour de France, playing a key role in the Alpe d'Huez stage win.
In 2013, he won the Peyragudes stage at the Vuelta a Espana but it now seems that he found a different formula. According to Cyclingpro.net, he will again do the Giro-Tour double. As Pinot will again focus on the French race, he is likely to play his own card in Italy. Furthermore, he tells the French website that his goal is to take another step forward in the coming season.
