Johan Vansummeren (Ag2r) saw his dream of repeating his 2011 win in Paris-Roubaix come to nothing when he was involved in a bad crash with Matti Breschel (Tinkoff-Saxo). The Belgian was furious at the finish.
"I don't now how some riders take their corners," he told Cyclingpro.net. "It was a guy from Saxo. What's his name? Breschel! I was really asking myself what he was doing in that corner. Actually I should have kicked him for doing that."
Vansummeren finished the race in 75th while early attacker Alexis Gougeard was the best Ag2r rider in 26th.
