Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela, sponsored by the sports ministry of Venezuela, has today announced the signing of two more riders from the South American country.
Jimmi Briceño and Carlos Galviz proved their abilities by taking the top steps of the podium at the Vuelta al Táchira in January, and will now have the chance to prove themselves in Europe.
They join Yonder Godoy, who has been at the Italian team since July, and in 2015 Carlos Gimenez will also come to the team. The youngsters will enjoy the guidance of routined Carlos José Ochoa, Tomás Gil and Jackson Rodríguez.
“We've hired the best young Venezuelans to take this project forward,“ team manager Gianni Savio said to SpazioCiclismo. “Briceño, Galviz, Godoy and Gimenez are four athletes who represent the future of Venezuelan cycling, and who can grow gradually in order to ultimately make the jump to the WorldTour.“
