After the suspension of thirty days due to the postive tests of Appollonio and Taborre, Androni-Sidermec goes back to competitions with the participation in Brussels Cycling Classic and Grand Prix de Fourmies.
"We go back to racing with our usual enthusiasm," said Team Manager Gianni Savio," and head up, because we were penalized for no fault of ours. The riders who used doping products are no longer part of our team and will have to answer in Court to all the loyal members of Androni-Sidermec who, united and compact also out of the race, for the first time in the history of cycling have subpoenaed colleagues who have 'cheated'. We went through a hard time that we managed to overcome thanks to the confidence that has been confirmed by our Sponsors and to the solidarity that has been expressed by many fans. Thank you so much to both!"
At the two Franco-Belgian classics, Androni-Sidermec present the following riders: Franco Pellizotti, Oscar Gatto, Francesco Chicchi, Tiziano Dall'Antonia, Marco Frapporti, Emanuele Sella, Gianfranco Zilioli and Andrea Zordan.
