According to the Spanish media, Winner Anacona has singed a two-year contract with Movistar team, where he will join his compatriots Nairo and Dayer Quintana.
Anacona has ridden for Lampre-Merida last two seasons, and only a month ago he has finally lived up to expectations by taking the first victory of his professional career at the stage 9 of the Vuelta a Espana. The 26-year old Colombian entered the top five of event’s general classification as a consequence, but faded in the last week and eventually finished 27th overall.
Other results, especially third place overall in the Tour of Utah general classification proved that it has been a good season of the 26-year old Colombian.
The team is yet to announce the expected transfer after they have signed Ruben Fernandez (Caja Rural) and Marc Soler (Lizarte) for 2015 season.
Meanwhile, Anacona is participating in the World Championships where he replaced Ribogerto Uran (Omega Pharma – Quick Step) in the ITT event and till line-up again as a part of the Colombian team on Sunday.
