Andrey Amador(Movistar) will ride a similar schedule this year to his 2013 one, with the exception being that the Costa Rica rider will prefer to ride Giro than Tour, according to spaziociclismo.it.
Amador does have a good feeling on the Italian Grand Tour. He attended the race in 2013, in which he won a memorable stage in Cervinia. With the victory he became the first rider from Costa Rica to win a Grand Tour stage as well.
Amador will debut his season in Tour de San Luis. After that, he'll prepare for the spring races. Amador has a pretty solid prologue ability as well as good climbing ability, making him possible for good results in Flemish classics, as well as one-week races. Last year he was 8th in Tirreno-Adriatico, and 10th in Gent-Wevelgem.
Still, as the Movistar team consists of stars like Valverde and Quintana, Amador will ride for them most of time, rather than chasing for results himself. Amador seems content with this, as he says, "This team always gives opportunities to me. Also it is an honor to work for the big stars."
