Fernando Alonso's cycling project already has a sponsor for five years. A sponsor from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, precisely, acoording to Spanish newspaper ABC. The Alonso project will start to launch in 2015, and it will now have the financial backing. The Dubai-based sponsor will endorse the project from 2015-2019.
Alonso himself involved in the talks with sponsors. Of course, he has a natural advantage as an F1 driver, because the F1 schedule travels through the world, includes India, Singapore and Adu Dhabi. It's reported that the Alonso project was in talks with some of the leading companies in the world, including Google and Fly Emirates.
On the clinic issues, the Spanish driver uses a zero tolerance policy, as he says "I do not want to hire any consultant, manager, doctor or rider that has been involved in a doping process at any point in their lives."
Also, it's reported that the Alonso project will not pursue World Tour status as it's priority. Still, he'll try to recruit some of the hottest riders, including Tony Martin and Peter Sagan.
